My Hands Are Tied:

Beautiful, sparse and deeply intimate,GIVE YOUR HEART TO THE HAWKS‘ is the second full-length album by Evi Vine. Co- produced with Richard Formby (Mogwai, Wild Beasts) & mixed by the legendary Phil Brown (Beth Gibbons, John Martyn, Talk Talk).  The first album “..and so the morning comes” recorded entirely at home & self released, received a great deal of critical acclaim as can be seen from the above quotes, and featuring on BBC6, BBC Introducing & Amazing Radio.

Evi Vine writes beautiful and painful songs. inspired by a deep connection and love of the natural world, This record is an exploration of deep, dark suffering and intense compassion awakening. Together with Steven Hill they create a unique and uncompromising atmosphere, the effect is reverential, physical music that evokes a rare experience…

Hiding out in the woodlands of greater Berlin they found a home with Robinson Jeffers, Henry David Thoreau &The Dark Mountain Manifesto. The duo explore the dark elemental nature of the human heart, environmental & post-apocalyptic themes

Featured on the album – renowned percussionist Martyn Barker (Goldfrapp/Shriekback), Tom Moth (Florence and the Machine) Tatia Starkey (My Vitriol/Lola Colt), Peter Yates (Fields of the Nephilim), Billy Cote (Madder Rose).

The first AA single from the album will be ‘Porcelain /  ‘My Hands Are Tied, and will be released in November 2014. My Hands Are Tied did get a very limited release earlier in the year and became the soundtrack to the Dark Mountain Projects book release as featured in the New York Times, and coincided with a sold out show at Cecil Sharp House. The video twice featured on the iconic Arte7 channel TRACKS , was play listed on MTV Europe, and shortlisted for the Berlin Film Festival 2014.

Recently returning from a 2nd tour of Germany this year the band secured a number of guest support shows including Phillip Boa & The Voodoo Club, Andrea Schroeder and The Chameleons, the band will be announcing UK dates for February  2015 to coincide with the album release.
